Located on the site the Battle of Lundy's Lane, the Drummond Hill Cemetery sits on the highest point in Niagara Falls. During the 19th Century this site was the location of five separate viewing towers erected to look over the Battlefield.
In 1893 the Lundy's Lane Historical Society began subscription to build a monument commemorating the Battle of Lundy's Lane. The monument as it stands today was unveiled on July 25, 1895.
The Drummond Hill Cemetery is also the final resting place of Laura Secord, heroine of the War of 1812, whose actions prior to the Battle of Beaverdams (June 24, 1813) ensured a British victory.
